During our stay in Sweden we were kindly hosted by Anne and Matthieu who were sub-renting a studio to students in Lund for 3 months during the period of their internship. They were even kind enough to lend their bed to us and slept on the sofa and the sofa cushions at night.
Since we were there during their last week of internship they were working hard to finish and submit their report.
They were leaving us each day to go work at the University.
We became quite busy while they were away. 1/ We tested the Ikea local feel.
2/ We discovered local food.
3/ We sat on the couch watching interesting programmes to know more about Sweedish and worldwide culture
OK, we sometimes ventured outside the house to have a walk in the small city. The city has one of the largest university in Sweden with around 46,000 students. This is the second oldest university after that of Uppsala. Buildings from the university occupy a large share of the city.
We went to the botanical garden.
It seems that teenagers were playing a Finnish game called Molkky where players must knock over wooden pins. The game was girls vs boys, and it seems that girls were winning 
We encountered lots of stationary shops, which is not that surprising in a city with so many students!
Lund used to have as many as 27 churches. Today this is not the case anymore. However among those left we found some beautiful.

Ca ne vous rappelle pas un film?
Je vous épargnerai les détails sur nos tours dans le centre ville d'Al Ain, où nous avons retrouvé la trace du souk, et un panneau indiquant qu'il avait été momentanément déplacé, notre tentative pour s'y rendre et finalement, notre abandon!
C'était calme. La température était agréable. On a bien écouté et entendu le "doux bruissement des feuilles de dattiers caressées par le vent".
Rien de tel qu'une petite pause kitsch aux abords du souk...
Attenant au souk, est situé un hôtel luxueux, le Shangri-La.
L'hôtel comprend notamment une plage privée, de laquelle on aperçoit la Grande Mosquée... et des travaux.
Merci à Yann pour cette vue de la piscine infinie de l'hôtel.

Puis, bravant le soleil ardent, nous retournons au souk pour quelque chose de typique...
...le Paradis du Fruit! Trop stylé avec ses tons roses et sa vue sur les canaux de l'hôtel sillonnés par quelques bateaux, de type gondole.

Pour entrer les femmes doivent porter une abaya (ou l'équivalent), le vêtement traditionnel des femmes émiriennes, et un foulard sur la tête. A l'entrée, ces vêtements sont fournis, à condition qu'ils ne soient pas tous déjà utilisés, ce qui était le cas lorsque nous sommes arrivés. Sam et Yann sont d'abord entrés, pendant qu'Anne et moi essayions de nous procurer la tenue réglementaire.

Parfois, on ne peut plus voir l'eau, car certaines parties de la corniche sont en cours d'aménagement : de nouvelles plages sont prévues!
Au loin l'Emirates Palace et de nouvelles tours en construction.
Dans la ville, il y a à certains endroits des passages souterrains qui évitent : 1. de marcher jusqu'à l'intersection suivante pour traverser (soit parfois plusieurs centaines de mètres), ou 2. (si on choisit la voie plus risquée, mais peut-être plus rapide) de slalomer entre les 4x2 files de voitures. Certains de ces passages sont joliment décorés au niveau de la corniche.
Allez, oublions le nuage de cendres islandais 
Nous avons repris la voiture pour nous rendre au point de départ, à environ 15 minutes (sur Salam Street). Il y avait un couple et leurs 2 enfants, ainsi qu'une allemande, une amie à elle et la femme d'un collègue de son amie. Le guide était accompagné par une autre personne qui n'était pas très loquace.

It's time to eat: everyone is already having dinner. We are behind schedule since we do all the activities (nobody did sand skiing apart from us, although we would have been ok to share the board!). Yann and Sam are feeling better, after having taken a rest.
We sit under a starry sky. We talk while smoking sheesha. We are the only ones staying overnight at the camp.
We sleep under a huge tent together with some mosquitos... (We are equipped, since we have a repellent but they are quite hungry; aren't they Sam?)
So long for the amazing pictures by Nikon... But we still have Fanch's camera...
